Abstract. This paper investigates the relation between creativity and the global knowledge economy focusing on the characteristics of knowledge as a global public good and digital information goods in so far as they approach ‘pure thought’. The paper then explores the relations between openness and creativity through a review of the literature and by reference to ‘social creativity’ as evidenced in user-generated(pp. 15–36)
