ABSTRACT. Gangu et al. hold that, after the 1989 political changes, many changes have occurred in Romanian agriculture. Heilmayr observes that one of the biggest problems facing Romanian organic producers is an inability to add value to their products. Scrieciu focuses only on trade integration aspects - the extension of EU's customs union in terms of tariff barriers to include Romanian agriculture and food processing industries. ECD-GA says that while Romania has made progress in alignment with several aspects of the agricultural acquis, restructuring of the agricultural sector has barely begun.
