ABSTRACT. Hobby claims that philosophy and music inspired many of Mann’s creations: his works include harmonically rich and chromatically ambiguous music. Hoeckner maintains that Novalis contemplates music’s relationship both to language and to the moment: music is a universal language that animates the spirit indefinitely. Turino divides sound recording into high fidelity and studio audio art. Adorno points out that the consciousness of the mass listeners is adequate to fetishized music. (pp. 141–145)
