ABSTRACT. Naidu highlights two important dimensions of international relations of East Asia: the changing nature of great power relations and the genesis of regional multilateralism. Mallaby remarks that a new imperial moment has arrived, and that by virtue of its power America is bound to play the leading role. Palmisano puts it that the emerging business model of the 21st century is not "multinational" (this new kind of organization is very different in its structure and operations. Harvey says that accumulation by dispossession re-emerged from the shadowy position it had held prior to 1970 to become a major feature within the capitalist logic.
