CORPORATE PRACTICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION
ELVIRA NICAABSTRACT. This article discusses the major trends in scholarship about the introduction of cost-sharing in public higher education, higher education’s contribution to the reduction of economic inequality, and tuition increases in private higher education. Applying new conceptual and methodological approaches, this study advances to the next level research on public broad-access institutions’ societal role in providing access and addressing inequality, the corporate influence in higher education, and the business leadership model for university governance. pp. 51–56
