ABSTRACT. Diviney and Lillywhite write that state and federal governments and industry stakeholders should establish a multistakeholder platform to promote and implement the uptake of the global dimensions of CSR in the Australian garment sector. Jørgensen et al. point out that only suppliers can ensure the proper implementation of CSR practices in line with local law and international standards. According to DTI-UK, the Government has made a significant contribution to awareness and understanding of CSR and what it means for companies of different sizes, in different sectors and operating in different places.
