ABSTRACT. Although the connection was made a long time ago, it took the genius of a Dalí to turn paranoia into a method of artistic creation of immense potential. Drawing on the interpretative vision of the paranoiac, the Spanish artist used its specific psychic mechanism to construct objects of art in accordance with the logic of subconscious desire and impulses. The Dalian “paranoiac-critical method” seems to have given his dreams and visions an indelible quality of the hieratic and sensuous, which is the hallmark of his art. pp. 103–121
