PHRASE RHYTHM AND COMPOSITION
VIORICA BARBU-IURASCUABSTRACT. Huddleston and Zhang claim that musical GAs are grouped by their methods of fitness evaluation and the scope of the music they attempt to create. Maxwell and Eigenfeldt develop a component for data analysis, storage, and recall, to be used as a tool by algorithmic composition system designers. Wright et al. write that music is typically modeled as a collection of note events: each note has a set of attributes, such as pitch, onset, amplitude, and duration. Mozer describes an extension of the transition table approach using a recurrent autopredictive connectionist network called CONCERT. (pp. 155–159)
