ABSTRACT. This study aims at identifying some aspects of the relationship between mankind and the order of creation, as established by God from the very beginning. The starting point is represented by the first two chapters of Genesis, where one can find the principles and laws governing the harmony within the created world. Following the analysis, we present some ideas specific to the anthropological and cosmological tradition to be found in the biblical pages under scrutiny. It all concludes with some reflections on the right attitudes of mankind as regards the created world. The Decalogue proposed is meant to provide guidelines to keep the order and harmony of the creation unaltered, according to the divine plan. The keeping and conservation of the natural order is a way of life. pp. 8–19
