ABSTRACT. Although researchers have discovered some important findings regarding the capacities and constraints of litigation, the frequency and impact of PIL, the efficacy of litigation strategies, and the process for evaluating social impact litigation, there is still a great deal that is unknown and that requires further empirical inquiry. In the present paper, I focus on the complexity of litigation procedures, the role of litigation in liberal societies, and the impact of PIL in Central and Eastern Europe. pp. 122–127

Keywords: PIL, Europe, litigation process, liberal society
