ABSTRACT. Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore whether self-driving cars can lead to sustainability. Using and replicating data from AUDI AG, AUVSI, Black & Veatch, Capgemini, CivicScience, Ipsos, J.D. Power, and Perkins Coie, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding autonomous smart sensors, perception and planning, and data processing efficiency. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
