ETHICS AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR
MADALINA TOMESCU, MIHAELA AGATADOR POPESCUABSTRACT. The purpose of this article is to gain a deeper understanding of ethical decisions in the public sector, public organizations of integrity that sustain trust through ethical practices, the ownership dimension of the businesses of government, and the perceptions of organizational practices and procedures shared, acknowledged, and embraced by organizational members. This study is grounded in the considerable body of scholarship examining improvements in government ethical behavior, the efficacy of leadership and integrity-based approaches to build ethical public services in transitional societies, the practice of public management, and moral intensity as a source for an ethic paradigm. pp. 201–206
