ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study is to examine multimodal behavioral analytics, holographic display devices, and virtual reality-based job training. In this article, we cumulate previous research findings indicating that generative artificial intelligence and remote sensing tools can integrate employee performance metrics, interconnected monitoring devices, and movement tracking sensors. Throughout June 2023, we performed a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases, with search terms including “immersive multisensory virtual spaces” + “employee engagement analytics,” “generative artificial intelligence and task automation tools,” and “computer-based teamwork simulations.” As we inspected research published in 2023, only 164 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria , and 53 mainly empirical sources were selected. Data visualization tools: Dimensions (bibliometric mapping) and VOSviewer (layout algorithms). Reporting quality assessment tool: PRISMA. Methodological quality assessment tools include: AXIS, Dedoose, MMAT, and SRDR.

Keywords: employee engagement analytics; generative artificial intelligence; task automation tool; teamwork simulation; immersive multisensory virtual space
