ABSTRACT. Over the past decade, there has been increasing evidence describing the effects of the financial crisis on the Swedish real economy, the Swedish banking crisis, and the Swedish equilibrium unemployment rate. The mainstay of the paper is formed by an analysis of Sweden’s crisis resolution measures, Sweden’s success in eliminating poverty and reducing inequality, and the causes, consequences and the resolution of the Swedish banking crisis. pp. 130–135
