Remarks on Three Recent Discourses in the Field of Sciences Suitable for an Inter-disciplinary Dialogue. Cosmology, Mathematics and Orthodox Theology
ADRIAN SORIN MIHALACHEABSTRACT. We believe that issues like those we have briefly overviewed here are particularly fertile in the space of dialogue between science, philosophy and theology. Instead of the unacceptable claim that in the above lines we have clarified all the issues discussed, we may assert that we have only sought to express an intention, namely to exemplify, through facts and concrete situations in the field of sciences, certain contents that cannot be he understood properly without summoning philosophy and theology alike. It is possible that some assessments should find such issues and discussions irrelevant for the real progress of science. However, as far as we are concerned, we remain convinced that, by discussing, in an appropriate manner, the perspectives, meanings and explanations provided by theology, philosophy and science, and by a systematic approach in terms of comprehension, with rigorous details, situations such as these and the dialogue they may lead to could give us the chance to a more comprehensive understanding of the world and of our relationships with it, that will reveal edifying meanings.
