ABSTRACT. Social entrepreneurship is a growing phenomenon worldwide. Researchers have identified multiple types and dimensions of social entrepreneurship. While there is a robust and growing body of social entrepreneurship literature, little has been written on the link between social entrepreneurship and new venture financing. Social entrepreneurs often lack access to the early stage investments available to technology entrepreneurs. This paper develops a set of propositions to guide future research in social entrepreneurship finance. pp. 15-25
