ABSTRACT. My analysis complements the growing literature on the internationalization processes of firms from BRIC countries, the determinants of FDI of firms located in the BRIC countries, the practice of active solidarity among the BRICS, and the increase in productivity in the BRIC economies. The objective of this paper is to emphasize the BRICS’ attachment to the issue of sovereignty, the BRICS countries as rising powers in global governance, and the impact of the rising corporate legal elite in the BRICS on global governance. pp. 31–36
