ABSTRACT. This article seeks to demonstrate the potential of anger when it is considered in its transindividual nature. First, I start with a brief account of Western anger to emphasise its insufficiency. Then, I explore the metaphysics and theory of the affects in Spinoza to argue that it is possible to conceive of an adequate account of anger. These two positions are examined under two different cases of political anger. Lastly, I demonstrate that the recent work on rage by Myisha Cherry illustrates the potential of Spinozian adequate anger.
